Copper Circular stranded (Non-compacted or Compacted) Class 2 to IEC 60228 or BS EN 60228 (previously BS 6360)

Fire Resistant Tape (Mica Glass)

Secondary Insulation:

Extruded XLPE

Assembly

For multicore cables, two, three, four or five insulated conductors are laid-up together with non-hygroscopic fillers compatible with the insulation material and the assembly is bedded with an extruded layer of PVC.

Core Identification:

As per UAE Local regulations the following colour code is used. However, special colour code as per BS 7846 can be provided based on special request.

Two Cores          : Red, Black

Three Cores        : Red, Yellow, Blue

Four Cores          : Red, Yellow, Blue, Black

Bedding

LSZH Extruded bedding serves as a bedding for the armour and as protection for the laid-up cores.

Armour

Galvanized Steel Wires applied helically over bedding

Outer Sheath

Extruded LSZH, Black.

In addition, finished cables are marked on the outer sheath to aid cable identification at site.

Circuit Integrity: Maintains Circuit Integrity for 3 hours under fire conditions – Category CWZ.

Smoke emission: Minimum 70% transmittance as per BS EN 61034.

Acid gas emission: Zero Halogen < 0.5% acid gas generation as per BS EN 60754.

These Fire Performance cables meet Flame propagation tests as per BS EN 60332-1, BS EN 60332-3-24, Acid emission as per as per BS EN 60754 (actual less than 0.1%), Smoke Emission tests as per BS EN 61034 with minimum 70% transmittance. CWZ Fire Resistance tests at 600/1000 V as per BS 6387.

Fire properties: Protocol C – 950^oC for 3 hours as per BS 6387.

Fire with Water: Protocol W – 650^oC for 15 minutes as per BS 6387

Fire with Mechanical Shock: Protocol Z – 950^oC for 15 minutes as per BS 6387.
